We will be kicking off the Retro East™ 2011-12 Winter Series on 9/10/11 with our annual Gorski Sr. Memorial Race at:

Pit pass: $10
GTC-FK Entry Fee - $15
Can-Am Entry Fee - $10

Raceway opens at 8:00 AM.
Tech for GTC-FK starts at 10:00 AM - Track will be shut off.
Tech for Can-Am will start one hour after GTC A Main.

Note: This is the GTC-FK Class as that is what we will be running in the RE Winter Series.

Thanks everyone in Retro East For having this event in Memory of my Father.
He contributed a lot to Slot Racing back in the 1960's & Early 70's.
His Controllers at that time were known world wide in Pro Slot Racing.
It should be the most competitive year ever. Billy Gerhart has won this event
2 years in a row. Below is an old Catalog sheet for Gorski Controllers & a Picture
of Billy & me holding John Streisguth's original Gorski Retro Controller from in the day.

I think we should always celebrate people that were an integral part of the past. It's especially cool that Nutley was my "home" raceway (even though I was a geek at the time...some would say I still am LOL ) so a Gorski controller was "THE" one to have. I'm so glad I kept mine all these years.

WELL as usual im an idiot ...i loaded my box sunday night and been here in baltimore all week .tommorrow ill be going from here up to speedzone and stay in the lot friday night till sat morning to race ..BUT i brought can ams and F1 cars! DUH all my coupes are home 3 hours away ...so if any of you kind men have an old beater coupe car i may race i sure would appreciate it....i wont crash it up ...i just wanted to race 2 times saturday i will contribute funding also of course...i really feel stupid so dont rub it in......im in the lobby using internet so i cant read any responds ....see every one sat at 8 a.m! hope theres a big turnout ibelieve there will be

Mr. Fatty, one of your 2 chassis for the Sano just got finished. I copied one I built for the class down here but never took off. It should be good at 'Mikes..

Well, if anybody's wringin' their hands about it, mee too. Still making up after Irene both in my professional and personal life, and my schedule's keeping me strictly local.

--& furthermore I'm avoiding bridges and tunnels this weekend--not out of any sort of fear really, but I kinda know what the traffic's gonna look like around those things; and bridges & tunnels are the ONLY option in my 'Hood.
