Hello fellows,

I found this one on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130871151442&ssPageName=ADME:X:eRTM:US:1123

I've never seen before a Purple Cucaracha body with front fins.

As far as I know the only front fins bodies were the orange one (third series) and the Super Cuc

I don't know about the fins, but i see some flaws and dark photos.

The rear width is obviously wrong, the front stripe sticker is curling up under the body, the brushes are all messed up.

If I were you, I would ask the seller for better photos before I bid.

That is far from being a stock, original Cuc. Not saying it is a bad deal.

Stefano,

Yes, it exists and while a bit more scarce than the orange version, it is not rare. The purple body, with ot without fins, was never sold on a RTR car, just as a spare body on a card of six. When the mold was modified with the fins in 1967, the spare bodies had to come from the same modified mold. Instead of being sold as before on card of six bodies, they were now sold individually on a standard body card under blister.

However, it does not make it a "real" car, only a spare part...  :)

Looks like a Lil Cuc, the 1/32 variant...

Ridiculous? $112 isn't even the price of a normal Cuc these days.

Can't say I've ever seen a purple one, much less with fins...

Allan,

Yes, they all came with the factory painted driver. If you see one without, it simply means that it fell off. It was affixed on the body with double sticky tape.
