Super-thanks to all who made the Sano 5 a smooth, fun & super-competitive event.
My wife Jackie on handling catering duty, janitorial services and just having her terrific
personality present at the raceway. Also on baking some terrific blonde brownies.
Manta Ray Price for hustling back from Ohio for some his usual terrific help
behind the counter, opening early, and his other Jack-of-all-trades duties.
Also, his wife, Chris, for supplying some tasty cupcakes.
Noose for his superb job preparing tech sheets and of course with teching and
most of all, pre-teching at the expense of his own racing.
Bill Fulmer for his unsurpassed job documenting the event.
Ralph Thorne on the great job with the plaques and T-Shirts.

All the racers who walked in with a great attitude.
Retro continues to be terrific with the fast guys willingness to help the
mid-packers with advice, and if needed, equipment.
The Michigan Mafia.
They came in full force, were super-fast, and most of all, really supported the event.
The guys that stepped up to volunteer marshal, Eric Balicki, Jack Beers, Keith Brown, Sano Dave, Noose, John Miller,
Mike Reninger, Bernie Schatz, Guillermo Suar, Ralph Thorne, Ezra Vosburgh and Terry Watson.
The Jersey Boys/Speedzone guys for their terrific support. Jay, Mike I, Wes & Matt.
It was especially great to see my verbal jousting buddy, Wes, blister the track in F1 qualifying and give Ron all he
wanted in the A main.
All the multiple podium winners, Ron, Howie, Matt, Sano Dave, Terry & Wes.
You guys really put on a show.
Manta Ray Price for his podium on Sunday.
IMO, the most unexpected and popular podium finish in the history
of major Retro events.
He put a ton of top drivers one place lower in the standing with his terrific 293 lap run in the A Main.
The racing was really close this year.
It made race directing a real pleasure/ privilege.
Especially on Sunday, where every 8th heat was always a battle for the final move up,
with the guy not moving up on the same lap (twice), a lap back (once) and two laps back (once).
Hope to see everyone back next year.
Thanks to the Sano V racers
