A dream is coming true!

This is a car that I have been wanting to build for years, had a Master but never the proper race event to build it for.

Coming Tuesday a race for Group 5/IMSA/WEC/DRM/Japanese Super silhouette cars.

I always asked what the F512BBLM had to do with Goup 5 and Wiki enlightened me). :-

Hosting Track will be the Spa 1/24 track which is now in Swisttal, Germany. The perfect setting, as this is one of the greatest-looking tracks existing.

Its a really nice car, fantastic curves, not a great performer but the looks make up for what is lacking in the performance department.

I really wanted to have a high level of detail and might have gone a little over the top... so I decided to build a second simplified body just in case I change my mind…

Enjoy the pics!

Not sure about racing all that effort in the Group 5 race, which does not really have much importance and the competition cares not about looks and build quality... it's all and
only about speed!

So... will it be the brother from another mutha? Put this one together just in case I decide not to race the beaut.

Fola,

It's too much! What a beauty. I love the BBLM and was very privileged, about 20 years ago, to have raced a full-size, short-tail version of the car, also a former NART car. A magnificent machine it was...

I am looking forward to more detailed pictures! :)

The Carrera 1/32 scale example of this car is one of my favorite slot cars in my collection, and your 1/24 is just plain unreal.

I'm genuinely curious about the other cars that ran in the Group 5/IMSA/Japanese Silhouette race, as those are generally just cool cars to me.

cool... the driver looks good. The engine is wild. Great to see and I look forward to seeing the finished car. Thanks for posting.
