Can someone shed some light on the wing car program at Buena Park Raceway?

I know they run a 100 dollar car plus a 12 class after.

Need to know the gearing and tires so I can run these classes.

Thanks!

$100 cars are weighed in at 70 grams, with gears set at 14 pinion and a 44 tooth gear at 72 pitch and a Vipor body, also spec tires, Koford wx usually, which the track has $12 a set.
The box stocks are not always ran, depends on how many people want to race. On those you need to weigh in at 72 grams, use USRA legal box stock motor, with 10 tooth pinion and a 44 tooth gear, 72 pitch.
Any all steel chassis, no wire, all steel, any tires, Any body.
We have lots of fun and it is real competitive, a few ex-national champs race regularly, and yes they can be beat, if they have a bad day. Not very often though :(
Racing usually starts around 6:30 - 7:00 on friday nights.

Yep any boxstock chassis is ok, the tires are koford single x, they are sold at the track marked. there's a complete set of rules under the wing car racing section here on slot blog, although we have changed the speck gear ratio from 14/38 to 14/39 for better motor life, also vipers with a rib are ok too. So the spec 12 class is just a spec gearing, correct. Everything else is USRA boxstock 12 rules? Myself and acuratech are both scale guys that are looking to move over and do some wing car racing, that is why all of the questions. Thanks for everyones help

Yes you are correct, that speck 12 is a one motor boxstock class with a speck gear ratio of 9/44, we other wise follow nation usra rules for boxstock 12.

You should check with Randy, seeing they do not race any boxstocks in So Cal USRA, and the track has no prgram either.
