Thanks, but that one is mine. I might have to split the thread to avoid confusion?

This is the race prize still under construction. Bill still has the pans.

I've received a couple of PM's in the past about where or how I made the wire loops on the pans. I know Rick makes them and might include them in his F1 kits, but I usually make my own.

I have a simple bending fixture made for me by my friend Bill Worden

Basically, I just put a piece of .032" wire across, set a drill bit on top of it, and mush it with an arbor press.

All done

What a nice simple solution Rob! I might have to make one of those bending jigs...

My Samurai 4 is complete. Final weight was 53.1 grams or about a 103 - 104 gram complete car.

I'm confused, I thought this WAS the race prize. Sorry.

Next step is for my buddy Bill Worden to modify the pans to the print.

In the mean time I'll probably take a side track and build my Samurai 4 that came in today's mail.

Hey Amigos

I'm enjoying this we get two builds for the price of one!
I wonder what avenue Rob is going to take with the new Samuri 4

I'm confused, I thought this WAS the race prize. Sorry.

Pablo:

Sorry for the confusion. I wasn't going to include the Samurai 4 build in this thread since it wasn't a race prize, some thought I was so I figured why not? Maybe I'll change the title?

Back to regularly scheduled program of the SCRRA race prize build

Sometimes I like to build on top of the print for ease of part placement.

Nice looking chassis! I'd love to make one!! Maybe I can take some measurements when it gets here with John. Nice work.
