When I heard that Sano Dave Fiedler made it down to this year's Checkpoint Cup, I thought I would relink the original interview he made with us during the 2009 Checkpoint Cup to say "welcome back". But, it seems that interview never made it onto the webcast.
So, I dug into the archives and found this gem... the original Sano Dave interview - where he shares how he got back into this crazy sport again, the origins of his nickname, and what some people will do to keep a slot car track authentic.
Dave is quite a character and we are lucky to have had the opportunity to interview him.
Here's a link to the blip.tv EPISODE.
Check it out and keep it sano! And congrats Dave for placing second in the B Main during today's F1. Super close!

Hate to correct a post 8 years later.... but that's actually a Vought F8U-1 Crusader.
Easy mistake and surprised Mike Brannian didn't catch it.
The clue is the tilt wing, which the Corsair II did not have.
