Usually, but the Feats Of Strength can occur at any time. Remember, Festivus is not over till George pins his father!

Yes indeed, Retro F1 & Can Am.
Jail Door if there is enough interest after the two races.
Track opens at 8 AM, I will test the track to see if it needs attention or not before we do anything, and Greg will help clean the track if needed.
C-Ya! :)

Bryan Warmack, Phil Nyland, Gary Donahoe shine on Buena Park's Flatster!

Today we had a great and fun racing day of retro racing with incredibly tight competition. The Flat Track Master, Bryan "The Brain" Warmack, won both the F1 and Can-Am event, but had to fend stiff competition from racers... some using his own loaner cars!

A full report will soon follow. Every one had a great time, and Keith Tanaka had his new 2012 calendars that look absolutely great.
As they say, "film at 11", but maybe tomorrow as the winners must now rest! :)

Thanks to Jim and Debbi Watterson for providing their great facility, and the track was in perfect fettle.
Thanks to Barney Poynor for the great race directing only interrupted by several telephone calls (from his secret girlfriend? :shok: )

screw-on braid, motors that look like padlocks, that dang fuse wire in Cox controllers, "hand" painted bodies, the very first can motors from Mabuchi, and the smell of wintergreen then you are OLD!... like me!

Definitely a FUN DAY on the Flatster!! I managed to podium in F-1 chasing the fast guys with Gary Donahoe finishing only about 10' behind me in 4th. Bryan was the master today--I was looking to podium again in Can Am BUT--in the 7th heat my 2 year old TSR motor died!! Bummer--It only had 4 races on it!!! But VERY fun day indeed --the track was in perfect condition and everyone had a lot of fun!! Picked up a calendar from Keith too--they ROCK Keith--THANK YOU!!! And please stay involved in D3--we need both you AND Paul to stay involved. It wouldn't be D3 without you guys!! Thanks for Race Directing Barney--and to Philipe for tech --- congrats to all the racers--we had FUN!!

Retro Racing is alive and well in SoCa ! Everyone that came out had a great time. If you were not there, sorry.

Nice to see Tore come out, fun day for all.

Thanks to all who marshalled and Barney for race directing. Keith, the calendars are beautiful.

PS.: Yes, nobody died, and the races went on as planned!!!
