My Can-Am car had some mechanical problem, finishing not so good.
As for F-1, after Akitani & Tebu retires because of mechanical troubles, I felt I would win the the race but I got a trouble of a pinion slippery at the end of 7th heat. I almost gave up racing but Akitani offered a hot soldering iron and Tebu suggested to me to use super-glue. I happened to have a Loc-tite, which worked well. I got a real marginal victory.
I really appreciated their comradeship.
This is why i am keep racing.

Luck is always a good part of racing! Don't forget to sand the motor shaft with a piece of Scotchbrite before soldering the pinion...

Thanks a lot for your advice and warm words.
The more detailed report will be posted at Keith's web-site with the materials prepared by Akitani and Mickeyzo.
In Tokyo we are talking about coming to race with you at the Check Point Cup by organizing a big race tour.
I am pretty sure of coming to race for the Western States, hoping taking a couple of Tokyo D3 racers with myself.
Keep racing,
Haruki

Three move ups from the B Main! Really cool Haruki! West Coast D3 could learn a few things from you!
Looks like you all had a great time Haruki! Cheers to all!
I have been talking to Bryan and Craig about move ups of late so you never know Mike!

Mike,
Multiple moves up was certainly under discussion for the Checkpoint Cup. It unfortunately just got lost in the shuffle on race day!! I'm certain you can expect it in some form in the future.
Thanks Haruki for the pics. Some really interesting cars!! Great to see A-Yoshi join in the fun. He used to be a racer at Buena Park and please give him our regards!!

Hi Gus,Hey Haruki! Great racing and am looking forward to your attendance at the western states, maybe with some of your fellow racers this time. I should be up to racing snuff myself. A question to you: what is your track voltage at practice and at racing? Gus in Sacto
As for the track voltage at our race, at practice & racing, we use full charged batteries( 4 x Optima Yellow Top's, 975CCA each) without chargers/power-supplies, except at qualifies when we put on 2 x Bulldog 90 Amp power-supplies in addition to the batteries.
The maximum voltage from full charged batteries is 13.2 V but normally we have around 12.8 V at the controller taps.
When the power-supplies are on, the track voltage is around 13.6.
Some of our racers use the same TSRD-3 for 2 or 3 races, especially when it is a sweet one.

I am not totally against a single move-up at big races like the Check Point Cup.
While multiple move-ups would bring more chances for racers whose cars & driving skills are good but are unfortunate at the qualify, I like a high tension at the qualify of the big races with single move-up.
Since we started our Tokyo D3 monthly racing just a year ago and we have 13-16 turn-outs usually, we have been trying a various patterns to find a better way.
Good racing,
Haruki

I like your move up racing rules. The USRA moves up the top four racers in the quarter final and semi. I know that we use the old move up rules from the 1960's.
