Since there are 2 classes of GT Coupe this year, I have some questions:

1. Can drivers compete in both the FK and PD classes?

2. If the answer is yes to question 1, can drivers compete in both the FK and PD classes with the same chassis by doing a motor swap?

3. if the answer is yes to question 2, does that mean there will be a tech inspection between the FK and PD races?

4. Will the GT Coupe class use qualifying?

Thank you so much. :D

I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

1. No.... drivers NOT on the IRRA GTC PD list can choose EITHER FK or PD....but can not run both. Only the Winner of GTC FK will be allowed to move up and run GTC PD if they want to.

2. No.... see above. But if the winner of GTC FK does decide to run the PD race...yes he can use the same chassis/body.

3. Only the winner/move-up will have to be teched...again if he decided to race in the PD race.

4. Yes both GTC classes will qualify. Racers will be seeded into mains based on qualifying time and all mains will be run and total laps run by each racer will decide the overall finish. No move-ups in the GTC classes. Run one race and you are done for the day. Unless you win the GTC FK and then you can join the fun in the GTC PD class ;)

Mike,
I will be posting an official daily schedule for the R4/5 on Monday. But Ron is correct on all four points. It has been "unofficially" decided by the BoD that you could only enter one or the other GT Coupe classes. I originally questioned that but decided that if some were to run both classes that it could make an already long day even longer. So one it is.

And, as was done at the Sano and the Fall Brawl, the winner of GT Coupe FK will be invited to run the PD class on me provided they can get their car teched in a timely manner.

As the schedule will show the two classes will run separately but "back to back" on race day.
