Ron is the man!

I watched all the racing online and I especially liked the come back in the Can-Am race. It showed he truly has the ability and heart to win under adverse conditions and his concentration was amazing. I don't think he came off a half a dozen times the whole time he was racing. Having a well-prepped car helps also.
So as I said in my PM to you, Ron, congratulations on your wins and the second place wasn't bad either.
Maybe I'll get a chance to make the R/6 and try my luck. Hope to see you racing one day.
I wanted to put this in the "Observations of the R4/5" but it's locked up.

I did what I had to do and ran enough laps to make the Semi which I won with a refurbed motor as the "bag" motor I had run earlier I couldn't tell if it got "hurt" in the qualifying race crash. I ran the same motor again in the main and pretty much ran with Chris R on the same lap the entire race.

And I would not call Columbus "equal grounds" for obvious reasons.
Well then why do you even bother to come, Howie??? There are several guys that race and practice there way more than I do... do you have a problem with those guys, too?
But, hey, you knew this coming into the event yet you still chose to come and participate/race.
So other than the Coupe race... in the F1 and Can-Am classes... EVEN if I had not been in attendance at the race... you still would not have made the main in F1 or Can-Am.
Your problem should not be with me BUT with the other drivers who kept you out of the mains in F1 and Can-AM and I DID NOT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT, Howie.
Your performance at the race is ON YOU... NOT ME.

Now! Rande builds fast cars, nothing more needs to be said. I'll bet he could take your 5.0 motor, put it in his car and go 4.8 with it. How does he do it? I can't answer that question.
Every race again this year was very close. One lap here and one lap there, one less off or one more off and everything changes around. Think about it, even being back eight laps is only 40 seconds off a win after 24 minutes of racing.
C'mon out and grab some of the fun...

If they say you won with a bag motor and you did not then what is wrong with stating the truth? I am responsible for my performance and no one else so don't confuse the issue.
You are the master of Columbus and its variations and if that is fine but I would not call it equal ground for all of the out-of-towners. Equal ground would be racing on a track that is unfamiliar to all.
My beef is with your hands in the Pro Slot motors and you winning races. End of story. This is called a conflict of interest.

I also didn't hear anyone complaining like this when you won the lat two Can-Ams at the Sano, dude.
The bag motors Ron bought were done right there in my presence as noted. He ran one in the GTC-PD race and won. He was also TQ. He had it in his car for his heat Main and his car got hit in the first heat. He is is allowed to change motors before the next race just as you could. He did and the car was teched again before his Semi, as were all the others. His car was teched again before the and after the final Main. All others were teched before the final Main and all of the podium cars were teched after all of the Mains.

Anyone wanting to go there needs to start a new thread but it darn well better be kept civil.
We're not going to diminish the success of R4/5 by dragging up innuendos that have been discussed numerous times before.

Fred also said as it has been published that Ron won the main with a "bag motor" and that is not correct, and Howie corrected Fred with the simple truth.
This does not mean that Ron is not a very good racer, of course, he is one of the very best there is and has over what, 30 years of experience, doing nothing but breathing, eating and vomiting slot cars.
Howie did not say anything that deserved the kind of response Ron wrote here. Howie is correct on both his points. Ron's comments are simply superfluous.

Ron v. Howie "heavyweight rematch" sound like the way to go.
Neutral King track
Bag motors
Can-Am - best two out of three.
Rotation keeps cars two lanes apart.
Drivers trade motors after twelve rotations and go back at it.
Live Internet (pay per view?)
$1,000 to win -
Think 50 people (49 to go) would put up 20 bucks?
Just saying...
