May 19, 2012 will be the end of year Ohio Challenge Cup Enduro and Banquet at Route 93 Raceway and Hobbies in Akron, OH. Along with the race, plaques from Ralph Thorne Racing, will be handed out to the Top 3 in each class, also the top 3 teams in the enduro will receive plaques.

Format:
This will be restricted to 8 multi-person teams.

OCC GT-1 Rules, Parma Mercedes GT-1 Lemans #1044 Spec Body. Any Controller.

We will be utilizing Parma handout car kits along with the GT-1 handout motors. Each team will get 3 motors. Must use the 8 tooth pinion, stock springs, and can not remove the seal. You are ONLY allowed to change the brushes, if you choose.

Each team will receive 1 Parma handout Kit, you will get 1 hour to build and test the car. You must use the included parts. You MUST use the included .850" tires.

The race will be divided up in to Two, 2 hour segments. Each lane will be 15 minutes long with 1 minute lane changes.

There will be a lunch break at the end of the first 2 hour segment. At the end of this, each team will receive 10 minutes to work on their car. The cars will be reteched before the second 2 hour segment.

Times:
Doors open at 9 AM
Handout Kits and Motors at 9:30 AM
Racing by 10:30 AM

Entry Fee is $50 per team

In Years past it was first come first serve. But since I can't make the race at J&B if teams want to pre register that is welcome.

Note: You can NOT run by yourself!

Mike, sorry you feel this way, but this has been the tradition, and I'm sticking with it!

Also, the race date worked out to be the day before Frank's birthday & Frank and Debbie's 30th wedding anniversary, so it will be a good memorial to our good friend, and a great way for the OCC racers to checkout the newly refurbed tracks!

Rules updated to include the Spec Body, Parma Mercedes GT-1 Lemans #1044. You can choose the thickness, though I wouldn't recomend the .007" version. You have to provide your own painted version on race day.

Can you let us know what chassis we'll be using? Since we'll be using our own bodies, might as well get them cut and pinned.

I am looking foward to Race in the Enduro but my usual racing buddies seem to be doing other projects on that day.
I am looking to be involved as a team owner recruiting team members or be a part of a team willing to pay portion of the race fees to help those who might be interested but they are hanging on the fence for some reason. Former Enduro Winner 2005 at Shifter's if that means anything! Lol!
