Here's a link to the race results on our Texas blog: http://excoboard.com.../144349/1864007
Our marathon 8-race, 9-month long series ended in April. So, a little burnout combined with Summer comin' on fast & furious yielded a smaller than usual grid. No problemo; that's to be expected. We wanted to keep some kind of retro action going, so we wound up at River Oaks Motor Speedway, where retro racing began in Texas back in early 2007. Back then we raced on a 135' hillclimb; now, ROMS sports a newly refurbished swoopy King Track affectionately called "The Black Mamba". A few weeks ago, we dipped our toes into the retro F-1 waters again at Ranger Raceway; everyone had a blast. So we held an F-1 race followed by a Can-Am race at ROMS last Saturday. A few old faces resurfaced and it felt like old times!
Texas Retro returns to roots at ROMS!
