Here are the final results from the SoCal GT 12 / Eurosport Race held at Buena Park Raceway June 1,2012. Many thanks to the participants who came out in force to make this event a success! Special thanks to our tireless Race Director Victor Dubrowski who kept the races on time and even was able to take photos for Debbie at BPR during the event. I second the motion, great posting Mike K. Some simple photos of the race print outs tells a good story with fast times, lap counts, and the participants. Really good turn out guys!

The thing is, I thought there was wing car racing too this past weekend? Still waiting to see some results for wings.

We do tend to run GT12 the third Saturday of the month. Foamy and I should have our cars ready and I won't be fighting 3+ hours of traffic to get there on time.

That was the most fun I had on the flat track. And entertaining race directing by Victor.

Victor did an awesome job race directing. He came just to race direct and not to race, thank you Victor. Thanks to Jim, Debbie and the BP crew for having an awesome facility. Thanks to Beuf and BP Raceway for sponsoring the races. Thanks to Mike Kravitz for being the brains behind this whole event.

I tried to convince Victor to race with us. He said no, but that he'd be there regardless, so asked him to do the race directing. I promised him a dinner in exchange for his efforts, but he did such a great job of keeping things moving there wans't time to go for dinner! Still owe him for a later time.

Let me know if anyone wants to contribute to the bill! (just kidding.....;-) )

I heard that there were some issues with the re-braiding on the King, like excessive guide wear?

PDL, yes this is true. The wing racers definitely had guide flag issues on the King.

From what i know about new tracks and rebraiding tracks guide wear is not that unusual in light of the abrasive nature of the sides of the braid. I know of at least one new king track that stopped races for racers to check guide wear and replace guides when the braid was new....also gave out free guide flags until the braid was "broken in"....
