I have to give the Carsteen controllers a huge positive. I have two because I liked the CS-01 so much I bought a CS-02.

They work with everything I drive...from a ff030 slimline through all the RTR motors up through S16D's and C Cans.

They have been very popular here in NZ.

Thanks for setting me straight, Steen! Back in the dark ages we had monstrous diodes and there was a certain, noticeable propagation delay, which encouraged us to throw out the monstrous diodes!

I am having trouble finding the advantages of the CS4 over the CS3.x.

I am told that several of the top scale racers have switched to the CS4- but it would be nice to know the logic behind the switch.

Thank you in advance.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Read the CS4 specs here.

I understand that the 03 model is no longer being made,

Just had my Carsteen CS-2 repaired and upgraded to the CS-4 by Steen. I must say he was incredibly easy to work with, educated me on the settings and usage of the controller and provided superb customer service.

Highly recommended!

Welcome to the world of "real" slot car hand controllers.

You will NEVER regret investing in a Carsteen :)  :)
