Our new rules take effect July 1st; this was the last race for the Ti22's and Parma Lola T163's.

Congratulations to Ken! In addition to being a great builder and racer he still manages to be a pretty nice guy and ambassador for our sport. Thanks Ken.

Ken sure is a nice guy. He drives up to the DFW area from Houston every time; that's a +4-hour trip every time(one way). He's one of those dedicated mainstays to our program that keep us going strong. He's just GOT to be a lyin' cheatin' b^%$#@d, though, to be that fast!
Just kidding, of course. Even when I busted him for undersized tires in tech a couple races ago, he just put on new ones and beat us all then, too!
I'll take this opportunity also to give the same props to the Tyler guys; they drive +2-hours every time also and usually bring 3 - 5 racers which keeps our starting grids strong. Moe Callison and David Berry were the only 2 to make it this time, leaving Chris Tanner, Chris Bess and Pete Shick back home this time; we missed you guys!

Yeah that Stevens guy.......if that is his real name......! Even though I exercised my best nerfing technique when along side him
, dive bombing, letting him pass so I could use his car as a guard rail in the next turn, he still beat me!

I raced with Ken & his dad, Al, in the greater Boston area during the early 70's. He was a good driver then, he must really be a good driver now! He was building chassis in those days too.

I'd like to thank all who came out and made this race a fun event. Especially the folks at Dallas Slot Cars. Shontel runs a fun race and the locals were there helping to marshall the race. Thanks for the kudos. The racing was clean and close, and most of all fun. I almost didn't make it but was able to get away from work demands. All the TRRA racers are great folks and I alway look forward to racing with them. Can't wait till the next event. I heard there may be something up for July.
