Sunday April 14th, 2013 - Boogie Championship Race 1.5 Times Laps
Jerry Wyant of Boogie Raceway is the most aware of the major slot car racing events in the area and has scheduled the race dates with as little conflict as possible.
Tracks will be opened for practice at 9:00 AM and shut off at 12:00 PM and F1 tech will start immediately. Racing for F1/INDY should start at 12:30 PM with the next races immediately following with a half hour for tech between each race. We expect to be done racing by 6 PM.
Jerry Wyant or Nelson Swanberg will be the tech inspector for the events. Most of you are familiar with our relaxed, efficient and fair procedures. Rear clearance will be checked with .047 inch wire in front of the rear wheel contact patch. Front clearance will be an eyeballed .015 inch clearance. We want to see the front tires roll with the guide flag off of the tech block. If you are low you will have to replace your tires.
Currently we have one racer that has seeded an end of season cash prize fund with $100 to encourage participation. $33.33 will seed each of the classes. If you have had fun racing slot cars and would like to donate to the end of season cash prize fund to encourage growth and participation please feel free to do so.
The end of season cash prize fund will be scored with the following method. All races count with no drops. Cash prizes will be awarded on the basis of the total laps the participants run as a percentage of the total laps run by all the participants with each class being scored separately. Everyone will win something.
If you are a manufacturer, supplier or track owner and would like to donate prizes to our series please feel free to do so. Send them to Jerry Wyant at:
JERRY WYANT
P.O. BOX 78
ADDISON MI. 49220
Jerry's phone number is (517) 392-0711.
We will make sure you are acknowledged for supporting the sport and donating. All non-cash prizes will be awarded with a random drawing of the participants. To be eligible for a prize you must have entered at least six races in the series and enter the Championship Race as all non-cash prizes will be awarded at the Championship Race.
Good racing!

Just a question. I notice more than one series going to a zero drop format. Real life always plays a role in our fun time and mother nature also comes into play at times in our areas. IMO, having zero drops is an effort to mandate full participation but in the event real life does come into play, then it could be counterproductive for the overall picture. e.g, why bother I have no chance at a plaque or prize at the end.
This series championship and payout is based on the percentage of total laps run in order to encourage consistent participation. I know life happens when we make plans to do something else but the schedule is up well in advance of the races. In this format everybody will win something.

Hi Cap
This would not be a bad drive for you ? I don't think the IRRL thing will affect us much, about the only one that might be going around MI. may be John Miller we had Nelson move the date because we wanted to go to RT. 93 race.
