I have struggled with some problems as all is scratchbuilt, so the result is no Concours winner, but still pleasing for the eye :-)
Chassis is 1,5mm brass with a JK motor bracket. Front is a German Solid part mounted on a carbon plate. Flex is provided by t-nuts and springs
An overview over the complexity of this project:
Body - home made grp copy of an old Marui plastic kit
Windshield and air box - vacformed copy of the kit part
Gear cover - vacformed copy of the kit part, modified to allow room for the sprocket
Rear wing - made from packing material and mounted on 1,5mm piano wire
Decals - Indycals + my own no.33 and Mike Hailwood decals

I have been asked if I would produce a kit of this cars and I am seriously considering it, but a have to solve a few practical problems first.
I look forward to test it tomorrow :-)

Remember, two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do! Only you're a block over and a block behind.

Tex what a beauty! But can it thake a wall shot? Tex you have been to BP it would not last A lap!
???
Maybe it won't take a wall shot on a swoopy King track, but Nils has campaigned such cars quite successfully in their own series' of racing. From what I've seen, they race primarily(exclusively?) on flat tracks.

The car handled well, but I could not follow the DoSlot cars with styrene bodies. Maybe due to a lame motor or maybe due to the shorter wheel base of the McLaren. But more testing will follow
But it looked GOOOOD on the track :-)

The M23 with its never brother, the MP4/2C from 1986
both are available as lightweight grp kits from NSF-Classics: http://racecars.dk/NSF-classics2.html
NSF-Classics is the mutual efforts of two hardcore scale slotracers, Fola Osu and myself ;-)
