Chicagoland was already hopping when Jay and I pulled in a little after 9 AM. Racers are furiously thrashing on their Can-Ams in preparation for IRRA™'s most popular class. There's more than a few bleary-eyed racers who seem fine with the idea that three hours sleep is better than none. I'm just trying to find if someone copied down the tag number of the truck that hit me... LOL!

Tech will open for Can-Am at 10 AM and after it closes, we'll get started with Sano VI's final class of this year's event.

Mike Swiss here.

Rough guess, 35-40 entries for Can-Am.

Tech just officially opened seven minutes ago and Noose and Eric already have thirteen cars teched and photo'd.

Good luck to all in today's final bash. Go Retro East. Go Matt (no favoritism here).

How many entries does it look like?

The delay in getting these results posted is because we've all been stuffing our faces with the absolute best food you will ever be served at a slot car raceway event. The fabulous food furnished at the Sano is all the reason you need for making sure you attend this race each and every year.

Retro Can-Am King F Main results:

1) Bernie Schatz - 34/33/33/34/34/32/35/33 = 268 laps, best lap of 4.999 secs.
2) Jack Beers - 34/34/33/33/33/32/34/30 = 263, 5.022
3) Larry Kelley - 33/34/33/32/31/32/33/34 = 262, 5.063
4) Lee Verdich - 31/33/32/32/32/32/31/32 = 255, 5.171
5) John Morrison - 33/31/32/32/33/29/30/31 = 251, 5.263
6) Jim Backman - 32/32/31/29/30/32/30/28 = 244, 5.308
7) Jens Backman - 30/31/27/29/29/31/28/26 = 231, 5.447

Schatz and Beers advance to the E Main.

Rick Davis is at his last R/C race of the year in Cincinnati, OH. I'm sure his work bench will transition to slot cars by Tuesday.
