Quick Sano VI update and thanks

Jens and Jim Backman, along with Cheater and Jay Guard, joined our house guests, Howie, Noose, and Pablo
for some post-race "Let's talk about something else" chatter.
I dropped Noose off at the airport a bit earlier and Howie is starting to rise from the dead.
It's, as usual, another beautiful Fall Monday, so we can go on our traditional, "Go burn some some gas, get some lunch" drive.
Thanks to the all the racers who really cooperated to make Sano VI go off without a hitch.
I'll do a detailed thank you and recap post post later tonight or tomorrow.

Great victories, Matt, Howie, Wes, and Ron!
Yep and don't forget the other "great victories"... Brian Cox, Kevin Van Pelt, Dave Geehring, and Sano Dave.
There were eight "victors" in all...

First, thanks to Mike and Jackie for their hospitality. It's like old home week when I come out.
Thanks to Tony P for some awesome cars!
Thanks to all the racers that came and thrashed away to take part in some very exciting racing. As always, thanks to everyone for "getting it" and making tech go a lot smoother. Yes, I did have a couple of "no tech for you" guys but overall it was the best it's been.
A very special thanks to Manta Ray for picking me up at the airport and his help in the pits. To Eric for his help in tech in taking all the pics. To Wes P, the best Cut Man in Racing for his pit work and to John Miller for his help too during my own races. To Pablo for the rides to and from the raceway each day. He's a pip. LOL.
I have found you always learn something at all of the big events and I found a few speed secrets here once again. LOL.
Stay tuned for some "rules clarifications" because it seems we ALWAYS have something that needs a but further explanation.

Now to get my taxes to my preparer (I extended...) and wash some clothes so I can leave later today on my drive to Cleveland for the iHobby show. No rest for the weary and please don't call it "retirement"! LOL!
Sano VI was a great event! I'll post some of my random thoughts soon...

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I decided not to name any names in my "Thank yous" because I know I would forget somebody and I don't want there to be any hurt feelings.
But I must mention how nice it was to see Sano Dave racing as hard as ever. Can't wait to see you again in March, my friend. And of course I must thank the hosts, Mike Swiss and his wonderful wife Jackie. Cindy had a great time helping out on Sunday with Jackie. I enjoyed the extremely close racing all weekend. You've got a good thing going there, Mike. Keep up the good work. GREAT RACE!
Thanks to everybody for making us feel so welcome and keeping us entertained. I guess we have a whole year to figure a way to make it back if possible. Maybe this time I will bring a car and race.

It was great to meet you and Cindy. Anything can happen at the Sano and usually does!

Besides the usual thanks to Noose for spending so much time examining little toy cars, I want to thank John Austin and Brian Cox for helping me get my cars set up.
I'll find an apropriate thread to post a link to some photos.

As usual, Noose did a great job at tech.
I would like to make a special shout out to Kevin VanPelt, my pit partner, for all the help and advice and to Mike Mazur who really picked up my flat track game. With his help on Thursday night I was able to make both A Mains on the flat track. Mucho thanks.
What can you say about the Jersey Boys! Made the whole weekend a laugh a minute . Saturday night pizza provided by SpeedZone was much appreciated; thanks, Mike.
Already looking forward to next year.

Thanks to Greg Van Peenen for all his hard work to help make that possible. His cars were just fantastic all weekend and deserves all the success.
Thanks always to the SpeedZone team for all the support and laughs. Monday was my 18th wedding anniversary which because of being sleep deprived didn't get to celebrate with Sharon until yesterday.
Looking forward to the next Sano, and remember to pray for a miracle every day for the man for which this race is and will always be about.

I want to thank Joe for pitting my car and keeping me in the race. Thanks, Joe!
I also want to thank Randy for taking care of me when I needed a body for the Coupe race.
Every race that I had was fun and close. The Can-Am B Main is notable as Ralph, Sano, Shadow, and I were virtually racing on top of each other for a transfer spot. Man, that was fast and fun!

Great event as always.
What can you say about the Jersey Boys! Made the whole weekend a laugh a minute .
As I click my heels in OZ...
You can take the boys out of Jersey but you can't take the Jersey out of the boys.
Congrats to EVERYone that attended and to Mike Swiss for putting on "a really big shew"!!!

I would like to thank Ray for helping me with my JK Spec car. He quickly made it a much better car.
And Wes gave me helpful advice and kept me in stitches all weekend.
Pitting with Pablo was great; he has to be one of the nicest guys in slot racing.
I also had a good time talking to Jen and Jim Bachmann AKA Hans and Franz.
I am already looking forward to next year.

We are happy to been able to come and race with you all that we normally only read about and follow on the blog. To get faces on the individuals makes its easier to remember in future communication.
Thanks to Jackie and Mike for putting on a great event and also being hospitable to us on Sunday night!
Thanks to the Jersey gang for all the help and hints you gave us and the laughs of course!
Thanks to Keith and Pablo that sat behind us at the pits and all the support from you guys!
Thanks to Bernie and Kevin in front of us for all your help!
Thanks to all who voted for my F1 concours winner on the flatster!
Thanks to Noose for his tireless teching! (And all of our cars passed tech - wow!)
Thanks to all of you others, none forgotten, even if we have a hard time to remember you all by name, but you know who you are!
