Sorry, I didn't get to this sooner, but the raceway getting packed on Wednesday night and important IRRA™ business to attend to distracted me a bit.

I'd like to thank all who attended the Sano this year.

Despite quite a few of my locals missing in action due to other commitments, personal and medical situations, and a large part of the Michigan Mafia, in retirement, semi-retirement, or racing R/C cars, we still had the third largest total entries ever at the Sano.

The 158 entries has only been surpassed by the 162 at Sano IV and the 195 at Sano II, where Texas and Dallas Slot Cars showed up en masse.

Thanks go out to:

My wife Jackie, for shopping, baking, picking up and putting out the two lunches, performing garbage duty, etc., along with preparing things back home for the house guests.

Ray Price, until he fell victim of "a bad wheel", for providing taxi service, his usual great help behind the counter, along with helping any racers that needed his expertise in the pit.

Noose, for his usual excellent tech work, not only at the track, but with preparation and printing of the tech sheets. His dedication and professionalism, IMO, is a key to the IRRA™'s success.

Greg "Cheater" Wells, for being my right hand man for four days, maxing out the Ustream broadcast, posting the results, ASAP, here on Slotblog, and announcing qualifying and race directing. Like Noose, his enthusiasm is key to the IRRA™'s success.

Eric Balicki, for doing his best Bill Fulmer impression, performing beyond the call of duty, taking a zillion pics, recording the event for posterity.

And race directing when I was racing on Sunday.

Eric is truly one of the guys that makes Retro racing so special.

Wes P., for stepping in and doing a nice job race directing the Can-Am race on the flat track.

Chris Barnes and Cindy McMaster, for helping out Jackie with lunch.

M.G. Brown, for taking and posting pics, helping out with marshaling during practice, assisting Greg, and doing any little thing possible to make the event run a little better.

Pablo, the consummate house guest, straightening up after the Sunday night festivities.

The last post was getting a bit lengthy, so I'll add in this post a huge thanks to the guys who made it possible for me to race this past weekend by lending me top flight cars.

Kevin Van Pelt
Dave Geehring
"Manta" Ray Price
Rande Marshal
Ron Hershman

It was fun and an honor to compete against a bunch of the top guns in Retro racing.
