Retro Anglewinder was the first class up for the day... This was the first "official" race using the Big Dog arms in this class. No qualifying as there were eight entries. Ron Hershman dominated the event by setting new fastest race lap on four lanes and ran the fastest lap of the race with a 4.346 lap and high heat of 26 laps. Tom Lauterbach finished in second with Dan Myers in 3rd followed by Larry Mattingly, Earl Graybill, Bill Fulmer, Den Krivacek, and Gary Echelbarger.

Next up was F1 qualifying... Tom Lauterbach was on the pole with a 4.848 sec run.
The F1 C Main was won by Larry Mattingly over Mike Panko and Bill Fulmer. Congrats to Larry on his first "Main" victory.

The F1 B Main was won by Jeff Lauterbach over Dave Simerka and Ricky Bennardo.

The F1 A Main was won by Josh Crutchfield over Ron Hershman and Tom Lauterbach. Josh and Ron ran the entire race pretty much on the same lap swapping the lead back and forth the entire race. At the finish... Josh beat Ron by a few inches.

In Can-Am qualifying it was Ron Hershman jetting to a new track record with a 4.658 sec lap.
The Can-Am C Main was won by Rande "No Time" Marshall over Earl Graybill and Danny Kuntzman

The Can-Am B Main was won by Ron Smith over Chris Radisich and George Katzakis.

The Can-Am A Main was won by Josh Crutchfield over Ron Hershman and Tom Lauterbach. Josh also set a new track lap record by running 292 laps in his great victory. Josh also ran the fastest lap of the race with a 4.765 sec lap and high lap heat with 37.2 laps.

It was a great day of racing and close action. The ORS would like to thank the McMasters family for a great time, having the track in great condition and for the tasty lunch that was served.

Thanks to Eric Balicki for doing some race directing.
Tough Luck Award goes to Gary Adams who drove and/or sat in traffic on the highway for almost three hours to arrive late to the race and then fell under the weather, having to head back home and not get to race.

The next ORS event is Nov 17, 2012, at Mark's Model World in Canton, OH. F1, Can-Am, and Retro Anglewinder classes will be raced.
