The rules are available here http://www.raceway81.com/page38.html. these are a good basis for a worldwide series, change the name ,call it what you want but you know you want to race this type of car. If we get more racers maybe Ron Hershman will produce a March 707 or McLaren M8D we seem to have a lot of OS ti22's
2 of these cars are for top UK racers James Cleave and Gavin Wills to borrow.
We are expecting a entry of around 20 racers for this class.

are these revival races of the late 60s early 70s cars and style of racing,id like to get involved and it would be nice to get a detailed race report with photos like in the old days lie in model car journal with tech sheets also id sponsor a team and help out with getting it running like the old days, maybe i can mirror your races here and at the end of each year run an international race, let me knowRichy and I have just finished prepping 6 Tottenham sports cars for the final round of the UKRRA at Rockingham.

Under Paul Sterrett's pressure, he submitted to a strange inline formula that has become the Retro Can Am class everywhere today.
So "Retro Pro" is actually the closest to what the cars really were in the early 1970's, save for a slightly smaller motor.
Retro Pro and the 1-3/8" wide F1 class are the true retro-racing classes. Retro Can Am as it is today is kind of a bastard... and that is basically irreversible, as one can rewrite history in whichever format suits his needs.
