Unique and different track designs

Everyone knows the various AMRC track designs and many are familiar with track designs from makers like Engleman and others, but there have been over the year some very interesting one-of-a-kind track designs created by individuals and clubs.
This thread is a place to post pictures of these relatively unknown designs here.
Here's one I snagged from Facebook. It's a four-lane club track that was in Aintree in the UK IIRC. Perhaps some of our UK members can provide more info.

This is the track where the 2012 ISRA Worlds were held at the Malmö Slot Racing Club in Sweden a few months ago. It was built in 2011 and is 45 meters (a more than than 147 feet) in length.

That last one in Sweden looks a bit like Roger's near Chicago, non?
Here are a couple period pieces from my photo archives...

Some years back I posted photos of a bunch of South African club tracks, you can find them here:
Southern African 1/32 Tracks
Thanks to Greg for opening up the thread so I could edit the picture links.

I see a number of people have followed the link to the old SA tracks, thanks for looking.
One of those tracks was upgraded recently:
And, to add another club-type track to this collection, here's one that resides in a special building set up by a friend of mine on his property just outside of Brisbane, Australia. The track was built by Arie Thoenes, the premier South African track builder these days.

Man I LOVE those tracks!!! A track that truly has to be DRIVEN--and horsepower is NOT at a premium to race with competitively!! Ya gotta BUIILD a good chassis and DRIVE it well to compete! That's what seperates the men from the boys--in all forms of racing.
Nice tracks Dennis--thanks for posting.

Was the Motorama Pikes Peak track in Denver? I had heard rumors of a very large three-level track there through John Ford...

Schwing!!!
Remember, two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do! Only you're a block over and a block behind.

I am not sure if Minks Memorial Raceway in Bloomington, IL still has this track but its certainly interesting.
I wish I had some technical details about the track but these photos are all that I have.

On the track in Bloomington in the summer you could get tangled with a car i the back and go out the window and fall to the sidewalk, and this was on the second floor.

How long is that straight???
Don,
This raceway is re-opening as Ted's Raceway in a few days and in some of their posted material they indicate the longest straight is 90 feet. Lap length is given as 288 feet!

This is Slot Car Corner's store track, which oddly enough is not shown on their website, but only on their Facebook page. Their doesn't seem to be any indication that SCC holds any organized racing on the track.

This track was at what has been described as the best slot car shop in Barcelona, Spain, where there are evidently a lot of slot car shops (or were).
The store is called Cric Crac and I am unable to bring up their website, so don't know if it is still in operation or not. Perhaps one of our European members can advise.
No info on the track itself.

I don't recall where I snagged the picture of this track but saved it for inclusion in this thread. Perhaps someone will recognize it.
Note the old-school humps.

Now that looks very cool! The way I see it, you make three laps before you return to a lane you've run previously.
Passing on that track would take a lot of planning!

One of the most unique custom tracks back in the '60s was this one. Don't know who built it.
Ray's Chequered Flag raceways in Inglewood (Arbor Vitae St.). The site of the 1967 Car Model race and the first-ever
Western States race in 1968.
This flat track had nine turns with very short straights, two drivers panels (four drivers each).
The picture shows Lee Hines in the near turn with John Cukras behind Lee. Ken (Fred) Larimer stands by the turn on the left.
One of the drivers panels has four famous racers of the day: Mike Morrissey, Doug Henline, Terry Schmid, and Bryan Warmack.
John (Tore) Anderson sits near the donut while my old Team Rolling Hills teammate Roger Uusitalo stands in the race director's perch to the right.
This was a very difficult track to learn. In the beginning, most of the pro drivers hated it, but by the time they learned how to drive it, they loved it.
