When you go to your Photobucket library to grab a link to a picture stored there to post at Slotblog, you should see this little control panel.
You click on the code line for the "IMG code" and that code is copied to your computer's hidden clipboard. Then you "paste" that copied code into a post text block at Slotblog.
Sometimes what gets pasted there is parsed incorrectly by IP.Board's editor and that seems to be the problem.
What should be pasted there is a link to your stored image enclosed by an {IMG} tag and followed by a {/IMG}. Sometimes your pasted link gets parsed into a format that will generate the error folks are seeing.
This is the correct format (with curly brackets substituted for square brackets throughout this post so the code won't activate; the correct code format uses square brackets, like this: [ ]):
{IMG}link-to-image{/IMG}
If your pasted link appears in this format:
{img=link-to-image}
It will probably generate the "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community" and you will need to edit the line to have a leading {IMG} tage and a closing {/IMG} tag.
In my testing, it doesn't happen all the time and I haven't been able to determine a pattern.
IPS is having some issues with the text editor in the new IP.Board version and I believe that's the root cause of this problem. They have been issuing patches every day or so (I actually installed an updated patch about 30 mins ago) and I feel this problem will eventually go away.
