I'll be there. I plan on spiking Ol' Paint's hay beginning Monday of race week so she can pull the wagon all the way up to Chicago. If I don't, the dang ol' horse would probably give out before we get to St. Louis and the wife and I would have to just resettle wherever the horse stops.

I really appreciate guys posting so I can prepare accordingly. I also am fully aware of unforeseen circumstances. I'll post my local names as they confirm. Other than ones who have already posted, there should be 6-12 more. (A good chance of even more with some maybe running one day but not the other)

I'd say Dave Fiedler, Dave Crevie, and Steve Grider are 99%. All three are very good.

I'm also hoping for a few more guys from Indiana and some from Wisconsin who seemed very interested when they were here for an F2000 race.

Sounds like it's the National D3 Summit!

Maybe you should invite Henry Kissinger to help work out the rules.

I'm hoping Alfred C. Snicklefritz shows up. He's the inventor of the drop arm we all used back in the '60s. I'm pretty sure he's still alive. :whistle3:

I'm hosting two series races this Saturday and Sunday. After that's over Ray and I will be doing extensive testing and come up with some rules ASAP.
I forsee my two biggest problems for that weekend as finding enough Blue Moon on sale for Noose and deciding whether I need a second fridge for my garage.

I just received an email from Wisconsin confirming three-time National and World Champion, Paul Pfeiffer and another top Wisconsin racer, Jim Mayer, are both planning on attending (and possibly a few more).
I think we can go ahead and throw them on the roster.

I'm considering making the race and though a good date, it's usually a very busy time on the farm. Anyone want to buy half a farm?

We might have a chance of making it for a look-see, too old to race. But for taking photos and being a Lookie Loo. As we may be close to that area in October visiting a friend in the Branson, MO, area. Not a long drive from Branson area. Depends on final plans.

I was raised in Des Plaines, IL. Went to Maine TWP HS and got down to the La Grange area quite often back then -- 1950-60s.

Larry,
It would be great if someone was there to document the race who wasn't worried about racing.
FYI, Branson is 467 miles from Chicago. Maybe you could set-up the Jim Stafford or Yakov Smirnoff with cars and bring them.

Fellow Racers,

I'm about 75% sure that I'll be there. Karen and I should be driving in Friday evening after she gets off work. What seems to be the most popular place to stay?

Mike, start working on M.G. for "SlotBlog's Breaking News Race Coverage" and I'll try to bribe him with a bottle of "Blackadder". M.G., you out there?

Be good,
