Hey, Ralph.
Yes, this class is replacing Flexi GT since it is no longer and IRRA class.
There are three big differences between Evil Flexi and Flexi GT.
1) No minimum weight requirement.
2) The front wheels do not need to touch the track.
3) Only the Trinity Evil 9 or Fast Ones Demon motor are approved motors.
This is essentially the 4" NASCAR class that Florida My Series runs minus the motor and GT Coupe body rule.

Grant, FYI: MySeries rules for 4" Nascar allows the Evil 9 motor along with the Falcon 7 and built FLA16D motors. Most of us have switch over to the Evil 9. Makes it easy to simply mount an approved GT Coupe body and be able to race in this new car class in GRRR.

We actually ran this class in Jacksonville a few years back when the track was over on Beach Boulevard, and a few races were done under the old retro series when it started up adopting some of the rules we used. We ran a flexi chassis of choice, with 5/8" fronts that had to give .015 clearance in front with the guide off, Falcon VII motors and either coupe or open cockpit retro bodies with a max of a 1/2" spoiler. If I remember right I had the rules where the minimum was a .750 rear tire. It was a cool class to run, as it was pretty much what we ran at the time as GT-1, but eventually interest dropped off. This will really be a fun class with the Evil 9 and running regular flexi chassis, since the Evil 9 with a good magnet zapping gives better brakes that last over what the Falcon VII could give.
Good to see the GRRR will be keeping the flexi retro of some sort. It's been one of your more popular classes from what I see. I know the guys up here like running it on the hillclimb.
I don't think we allowed aluminum pans though at that time.

Sounds like fun.
Do the front wheel wells still have to be cut out now that the front minimum is .50?

The first Evil 9 Flexi race is in the books. It was an awesome race to compete in. The cars were very competitive with each other and we were setting some fast lap times. Cant wait tell the next one in Melbourne.

Hey Mike,
If you want to run at Melbourne in April I'll have a good retro car ready for you to run if you don't have one.
Doc only said to finish behind him at Jax ... however you must finish ahead of me (and Doc too).
Offer is open, let me know,
