Since Pablo is a close friend, I'm a little embarrassed that he had to post 37 detailed car and chassis build threads before it occurred to me that he deserved his own subforum. It's under 1/24 Vintage Cars because that's where Pablo wanted it, but his body of work certainly exceeds that specific genre.

I remember a time when Pablo was just getting restarted in scratchbuilding and needed a little advice and instruction. Now others learn from him, myself included.

Pablo, this means now you got to build more cars! :laugh2: Do you have photos of your early scratchbuilds to post? I guess I better look to see what's already there. :)

Great idea, Greg! Pablo's at least as enthusiastic as he is talented as a builder. His work well-represents the spirit of the hobby!

Go, Pablo!

I went through Pablo's list last night and found a Duffy Elva Mk 7 built in 2010 that I hadn't remembered. :)

I'd like to see some photos of the Lota T70 coupe if any still exist. That's one of Pablo's cars I actually got to drive. :)

Bob, that's an astute observation.

Of all the guys I've tried to help over the years, Pablo has been the most persistent about asking questions to improve his skills and understanding. It's probably why he progressed quicker than just about anyone else...

Retro F1 build

New Can-Am build

R-Geo Victory F1 build

Stock Car chassis

There are a lot more, but I did not make threads on them.

Not yet, Dennis. I went to apply today with an armed security company that doesn't accept on-line applications - in person only. So I figured, "Hey, this may be the upscale job I'm looking for." The location was the Mississippi Welcome Center where they give NASA tours at Stennis Space Center.

I also figured the job location would be Port Bienville Industrial Park, which is right down the road.

So I showed up and expected to find a recruiter inside the building somewhere at a booth with a long line of applicants. I wasn't sure exactly where to go, so I asked the rest area security guy. I figured he'd know, since that's his job.

Toothless old guy with a uniform, a badge, and a gun sitting on a bench smoking a cigarette. I showed him the referral paperwork from my local job center and asked where to go.

He looks at it and says, "Yep, that's with me. It's this job and it starts at $7.50 an hour, no benefits." :laugh2: :laugh2:  He was a nice guy, 71-year old retired police officer working for peanuts.

We chatted for a while and that was the end of my job search. I'd rather push a rusty shopping cart down the sidewalk at the beach and sleep under a newspaper than do that. :dance3:
