That's like asking which child is your favorite :D

Near the top of my list because it is so fun to drive is a car built to the D3 Jalopy class rules. Base kit is a Re-re-re-issued 1/25 AMT 40 Ford. This build required gluing up the  multi-piece body/fenders/hood/grille with liquid model cement/Super Glue and molding in all the external seams, shaving the running boards and trim, hogging out all the leftover plastic on the inside, and subsequently reinforcing all the seams from the inside with an overlay of Epoxy...

The chassis was built off of a Warmack sidewinder bracket with .078" wire main rails. The front end is an assembly of three.063" brass sheets soldered to the main rails to form a solid pan. The .063" side pans are connected solidly side to side by .078" wire and is basically a "shaker pan" design. Bumpers are made from 1/8" brass tubing mounted with .063" struts. The body mounts are also "shaker" style with pin tubing and retainers inside of 1/8" tubing soldered to the top of the pan cross supportsThe side nerf bars are solid 1/8" rod, bent up and let into the pans with Dremel'ed cutouts...

Thanks to AMT for the model, Pro-Track for the tires, Proffessor Motor gear, Falcon 7 motor, Parma Blade guide, TQ leadwire, and of course K&S metals.

That's a beautiful build Bruce!!  I'll be building a "56" chevy for the new Falcon II class!! And I'd like to build another Jalopy--a new Corvette--and anther Trans Am car!! Of course--don't forget the "late model" Nascars too--- and another vintage 80's Nascar! !

She's real fine, my 409!!!

This is my favorite hardbody for now.

It's Tim Flock's '55 Chrysler Grand National stock car.

The body is from a Moebius Model kit.

Is the Henry J next

Maybe.

I haven't decided which old car to build next, but the Henry J is definitely on the list.

The J will be strictly for fun as its a very small NASCAR which probably won't be fair to the other much larger '46-'56 NASCARs we're building/racing.

I'm also considering building either a '49 Mercury (MPC police car!) or '49 Ford coupe.

Keith
