Chris Chan Iso

A "Magazine Car" by Rick Thigpen

This is another Chris Chan inspired car. I like to build his cars to mix things up from the usual multi rod inlines most pros ran in LA, Calif.

The chassis is pretty straight forward. Just a Russkit #795 bracket, some brass strip, tube and piano wire. (the solder blobs holding the first and second brass strips together are intentional; part of Chan's build).

The pillow block for the guide is a mystery to me. I cut one out of a hunk of brass but you could use a Dynamic pillow block.

The guide and axle nuts are Cox, gears are Weldun, motor is a Lenz silver wire and the wheels, tires and knockoffs are Riggen. I couldn't find the earlier Dynamic McLaren MKIII so I had to use the later version with side draft Webers.

Thanks for looking and break out those soldering irons!
