What Really Happens?

Not to be taken too seriously; most (but not all) of this is simply NOT how a slot racing car really works...

Steve- Believe t or not, whether slot cars work like this I cannot say, but I memorized this article when it came out and applying these principles to full size cars, I was able to power my Mustang through 30 mile per hour posted turns at 70 plus MPH. This was some time back of course, but the basic ideas still apply.

May I add that this area was deserted (for safety).

I have a couple of buddies (still alive too) that went from slot car racing to real car racing, both have said that you had better get how a slot car handles when racing a real car. Neil Kuhns went into racing Honda's and was a nationally known Honda wizzard, in fact he used the other buddy to do some engine work on his honda engines. The other buddy is none other than Don Roberts who piloted his 289 cobra to a nation championship title at Road Atlanta. Don is known throughout the world as being one of the best horsepower makers for ford engines. Not just fords though, my late brother Steve used to race his Triumph GT6 all over the southwest and he had Don Roberts turn his Triumph engines into jewels.
Don used to race at Kapp's Raceway which was my home track until it closed, Niel used to race all over like me when he could get there.

Meant you had better get slot cars out of your mind when driving a real car.
