Heavenly Bodies

as published in Model Car & Track - November 1963

Published at the end of 1963, this article includes photos and descriptions of fiberglass, molded hard plastic and vacuum formed bodies in both clear Butyrate and opaque Styrene plastic, all of which were available to the average slot racer from various retailers.

The inevitable trend towards bodies that were lighter, less costly and easier to produce both in quantity and diversity would soon result in the vacuum formed clear Butyrate bodies becoming the choice for serious racers.
