Eureka Enterprises Petite GP Bodies

Eureka Petite GP Bodies 13 Nov 2009.jpg

Eureka Enterprises' "Petite GP" line of bodies is a bit of a misnomer, as there isn't a single Formula 1 body in the bunch! Despite the naming error, they seem to have had a fairly extensive product line for such an obscure manufacturer located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Information about the quality of the product line is very scarce, but as you can see from the photos, they did their homework when it came to marketing. Eureka's packaging looks strikingly similar to the earlier K&B line of clear plastic bodies, right down to the yellow and black checkerboard! One major difference between Eureka and K&B however is that Eureka appears to have offered three times as many body styles as K&B.

As a side note, the word "eureka" is quite popular in this region of the country; there is a town in neighboring Arkansas called Eureka Springs, a local bottled water company named Eureka and a local newspaper named the Eureka Times Standard. Undoubtedly there are other examples, but you get the idea...

I have this Mecom Lola still stapled to the card. There is no number anywhere on the card. Looks like another one for the list.
