Classic Industries Bodies

Most of Classic Industries product line, in fact two thirds, were "Thingies". Their first offering, the Manta Ray in bright orange, became so popular that it is still considered by most to be their signature product. Here are some photos and scans:

To be added to the listing:

- Stinger II (without movable spoiler) clear or painted orange, blue, or green.
- Stinger Roadster (sometimes packed by Classic on "Stinger II" cards...) clear only and with clear plastic interior.

I believe that it is the only Classic body supplied with a separate interior.

I recently bought on ePay what seems to be an original Classic Gamma Ray clear body from Mid-America.

It is yellowed and slightly twisted and was not described in this condition, but I choose to keep it anyway. My question is...

Was this made by Lancer?

No, this is a genuine Classic body. They were available unpainted. Looks like it had a tough life under infrared lighting... was it found on Mars?  :)

Thanks for the reply, PdL!

I expected that you would be the one to answer this, but did Classic make all of their own bodies or did they farm it out to someone else (like Lancer)?
