More participants, more action, more of the same, sort of. Gary Hooks wins race 3 of the Bay Area FCR season. Randy Tragni takes second followed by Wolf Immel and Justin Colvin.
Justin maintains the points lead ahead of Gary by 2 points. Wolf and Randy battle hard for 3rd in the championship. This is going to be a very exciting season!
Gary Hooks once again, walked away from the field with 248 laps (correction from last report: this is close to the BAFCR record set back in 2012 by Gary Hooks with 254 laps, not by Chris Chakires as previously reported!). Congratulations to Gary for another very strong win. Gary also took fastest lap with 5.597 on yellow.
The fight for the rest of the points was on between Randy, Wolf and Justin. These guys are just after each other!
Randy worked really hard, and drove extra clean, to take 2nd place, a mere 17 laps back from Gary! Congratulations to Randy for the next strongest performance.
Next up in 3rd place was Wolf, with 227 laps followed by Justin in 4th (after a brief mechanical issue, with 223 laps).
Next up was ex-champ Sam Rock (221 laps). Sam ran a strong race with Rodneys car. He was very, very closely followed by Ray Villanova (also 221 laps a few feet back), then Frank the wall Rotgaber (7th again with 218 laps), followed by David Springer (8th with 212 laps), Eric Jan (9th with 210 laps), and Uncle Gary Hoehn again with a stripped gear (at 150 laps). Uncle Gary, fix that &$*% gear!
Not started due to a computer glitch was Nick Petrie. Better luck next time Nick!

10 points for first place, 8 points for second, 6 points for third, 4 points for fourth, 2 points for fifth, 1 points for sixth.

Also run, Flexi-Nascar on the King. Justin won this race (with 284 laps), followed by Sam Rock (278), Randy Tragni (270 and 2nd fastest lap at 4.827 on green), David Springer (267), Frank Rotgaber (264), Ray Villanova (249) and Gary Hooks (115). Gary took fastest lap (4.781 on orange) but suffered mechanical failure towards the middle of the race.
