At our Retro Tokyo test-day on September 29,  we enjoyed driving Retro Stock Cars.

Presently we don't have a fixed plan to race Stock Cars here but now more than ten racers have got their Stock Cars ready to race.

Kamo-san has cut out all the necessary parts to build good handling cars and Nobu Hanada test-produced Stock Car chassis kits. Some racers have scratch-built their original chassis with a good success.

Racing big stock cars on our hi-speed Gerding King is very fun.

We hope we will manage to find time to race Stock Cars at our monthly races. :D  :D

hey 'TWIN  MOTOR' Haruki,

I'm proud and happy that IRRAtm Retro Stock Cars are flying around the Gerding track. When you tech stockers, check for the hidden alcohol containers-may be disguised or stored in third eye controllers-however-it is not legal. Some racers store the corn/rice whiskey in the roll bar and others try to slide by using the chassis tubing-learn to catch them at any cost!.

P.S. If any doubt, remove the body, cut the suspicious stocker in 1/4's and mail the pieces to me.

P.P.S. Great to see ya all can have fun!

P.P.P.S. Give the drivers alias names so they hide behind their devilish pranks such as 'Twin Motor' Haruki

hey ya all,

According to Jay 'brisling' Kisling, retro stock cars are lower than a crocks belly on a hot Florida golf course! Sorry excuse for a slot car pro racer! I hope he shows up at Fast Tracks on December 14 to announce this to the members of Retro Easttm IRRAtm Retro Stock Car CHOIR!

Shakey George Blaha

P.S. Does Mike Iles still race Retro Stock Cars?

hey jj, noose, and blair,

Thanks for the info and being outstanding CHOIR members. With these newly approved retro motors with some adjusted gearing and tires, the retro alkyhauler stockers will gain more ground for slot car racers.....at least for those that stay off their high horse.

hey ya all,

Tonight November 13 is our CHOIR one year ANNIVERSARY of IRRAtm Retro Stock Cars at Slots-a-Lot Raceway.  Don't feel bad if you missed the best of the best alky-haulers retro racing on Long island because there is always next year to cry in your moonshine jar and retell the stories of the CHOIR and the Obama Medical Plan. Hope yooze all test n tune n repower your kettle alky-hawlers as the choir returns December 14 to Fast Tracks in Pennsyl-tucky. Svngalli Blondie will be here for merciless panel abuse and VICTORY. The Retro EAST tm IRRAtm points will be thrown into havoc. Matt, Edsol, Noose, Ray and et al watch out for the evil eye of 'the Mistress of Slots'.

Had a great time with some of your fellow Fast Track guyze at Hudson Valley Raceway. Got to hear a lot about track setup in Pa.. I'll try to get some Long Island alky-haulers to the retro stock car hoedown on the Hillclimb. What type motors and gear do yooze use?

Thanks

to all of yooze,

Thanks to Johnny VW for the skinny on the Stock Car and Canned Yams motor choices for Fast Track (Dec. 14, 2013). Those new JK Retro FK type motors seem to haul the 'OH'. Hope there are enough pit stands to go around.

Hey ya Awl,

At the Retro Easttm show (April 5)at Slots-A-Lot, we ran the steel kettles on the King track. The new JK Retro Hawk was the motor to have and most got faster as the race progressed. I used a Chinese 4002 and it was fast enough but lacks "the track call roll" of the NEWEST member of the IRRAtm approved motor list. There were a swarm of Fords, Mercs, and Chargers in the fast mix of the last of the season event for our beloved Retro Stock Cars. Bet ya can't wait for summer events to turn up the heat on the Steel Kettles.

Hey all CHOIR members and This includes you STEMMY,

The new location of Port Jeff (now called PJ Raceway) has the fastest KING TRACK on Long Island so gear for speed and select your fastest and best handling Steel Kettle (moonshine rocket or  stock car). Remember these old records belong to older people so you stand a good chance of getting one or more of the stock car NEW records. Soooooo .....be there or be square! Stemmy your skills in handling a stock car are absolute and I too loved the speed at Speedzone.

hey ya awl,

We at Slots-A-Lot entertained a IRRAtm Retro Easttm event of which the premiere show was the IRRA Retro Stock Cars to the tune of 36 of the hottest steel kettles on the east coast. The pigs in blankets class (Formula 1) also had a like amount but not as much FUN. Maybe we could do with a mail in entry system so the rest of the world could join in and watch your local NASCAR entries get some TV air time and some local drivers earn some well deserved points. The revenuers will be really in force when attendance gets to 43 or more! We can easily make room for another 10 competitors work stations for this event or you could meet a new racer and share a space. This IRRAtm SLOTS-A-LOT EVENT is the WOODSTOCK Rock Concert for Retro Stock Car Enthusiasts. See Nooses report in Retro Easttm for full details.

het ya awl Choir members and the like,

It's the winter surge for slot racing (Christmas/Hanukkah Car Racing Sets, too cold for outdoor radio control, and seniors who slot raced in the old days) get off your duffs and start fishing for new current slot racers and don't stop there. Find out what their interests are, go to 1/1 auto events and get involved, figure how to get clubs and auto associations (Chevy, Ford, Pontiac, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, SCCA, NASCAR Car and Truck and et al). Enjoy the full size stories and meet the decision makers....may be this is the first time the club/association will be doing this as an activity so may be some current racers could assist in the mailings. The slot racing store needs to be kept in the loop and possibly the local IRRA®  race group.

Retro Stock Car Racing has been the most fair and level fielded racing I've ever done. Even PENSKE over acid dipped the bodies and tried to get away with it.Thanks to the good IRRA rules and LOCAL enforcement this has been held to a minimum. Now you know they are looking.

Hey Awl Ya Choir Members and Soloists,

April 18 is fast approaching so fire up your Wellers and Ungars and rub 2 sticks together, resolder them old steel kettle joints for the Hunter Valley Stock Car Shootout. This King is a driver track so handling and a reasonable motor with your astute driving skills should prove to be a winning combination ( plus some help from your friends). We had 35 RETRO STOCKERS register at the SLOTS-A-LOT Retro East Event---ATTEND and see if you will be part of the choir to break this record AND podium for a main. Sorry this is a long trip from Japan and the USA West Coast but there are other events yoose can support so I,ll see the rest of yoose at Hudson Valley Raceway.

P.S. Keep a lookout for a local Retro Stock Car event at SLOTS-A-LOT.
