Official RP4 Events

 

Friday May 31st - Raceway opens 7 a.m.

GTC FK

Entry Fee $30 (includes one motor) - No Pit Pass fee

GTC FK is TSR Hand-Out available at 8 a.m. - One with entry and 1 more can be bought @ $12.95. Limit 2 total until all racers have their allowed 2.

Open Practice from 8 am to 10 a.m. for  GTC FK and PD Cars only. Track off at 10 am.

Tech at 10:00 .a.m.

Concours voting

Qualify and then seed Tier 2 style – run for laps – overall decided on totals

 

GTC PD

Tech for GTC-PD at 11 am – cars impounded - – Entry Fee $20 – no pit pass fee

GTC-FK Main Winner gets free entry into the GTC-PD race but starts in last spot

Concours voting

Qualifying as soon as GTC-FK A Main over and photos taken etc.

Seed Tier 1 style – 6 per main with 2 move-ups

 

Stock Car

Tech for Stock Cars 1 hour after GTC-PD A Main. Track off when tech opens– Entry Fee $20 – no pit pass fee

Concours voting

Qualify and seed Tier 2 style - run for laps – overall decided on totals

 

 

Sat June 1st - Raceway opens 7 a.m.

Can-Am

Entry Fee $20 – no pit pass fee

Track Opens at 7am

Tech opens 10am – track off

Concours voting

Qualify and seed Tier 1 style – 6 per main – 2 move-ups

 

Sunday June 2nd- Raceway opens 7 a.m.

Formula One

Entry Fee $20 – no pit pass fee

How about leaving Thursday evening open for practice instead of running jail door races? With 3 classes running Friday, it would be beneficial for the guys that can;t take off work thursday during the day.

If you want to run JD races, run them in the morning.

 

And can you stay open later Thursday evening?

I probably won't get up there until Thursday night so the JD races are out for me.  Will need time for set up, etc.

What if we drop JD Grand Prix altogether and leave Thursday for practice for the people that want it.

Move JD sports car to after the Can / Am race on Saturday.

JD sports car races at HVR always draw a good number of entrants. Plus for RetroPalooza the number will be even larger.

Plus there will still be time for a bench party on Saterday after JDSC race.

My plan was to come up Thursday evening to get some practice in.  With this schedule I might as well save myself a night in the hotel and drive up Friday morning. 

Actually, this is making me have second thoughts about the whole weekend.

Jim, whichever schedule makes you comfortable, do it. I will enter as many of the HVR events as I can and thanks for the help you've given me and for the intro to all the great people that are now my friends from HVR.

 

Please do not cancel the Jail Door Grand Prix event from the show.

 

Youz guyz taught me to be a better driver.

John.I haven't talked to Ed about RP /4 yet. But I agree with you. I won't come up on Thursday for a JD race or just to practice.

I just thought we would come up Friday morning. Ed would have to take another day off from work plus an extra night stay at the motel.

Boy the JD cars always get hind teat!

 

They are the first to get knocked off in a 1 day race, and here they are in danger of getting removed from a 3 or 4 day schedule.

 

Kinda hard for the guys who worked hard on their Brass Rod Beauties!

Still closing at 8pm on Thursday?  I would really like to come up Thursday and get some practice in but I'm not able to take more time off of work to do it.  I'm sure a lot of other people are in the same position. I dont even mind paying $10 for 2 hours, but 7:30 may be the earliest I can get up there.

10pm would be really great...11pm even better

myself also would sure like to practice thursday night till late as possible ..i plan on leaving work at noon ..then driving up will get me there around 6-7..now ill allready be pretty tired but i can set up my pit and make some laps,and talk to all my friends....thanks HIP   im for 10 P.M. please

They run a GTC-FK race every Wednesday night, so this is a regularly scheduled race.  Good warm-up for the weekend, to find out what works, as a lot of the locals will be there.
