Clearly, there are many decals to use on Fujimi cars. So just to check out what is on offer. Fords are much easier to build for model racing, if you see how the 917 or 512 models from Fujimi go together. I recommend if you want to start to build a model racing car in hardbody, then a GT40 clearly the best. Not many parts to be glued together and a solid body.
Subject chassis I've used is a Schöler 55 striker with gfk chassis parts on the Ford GT40 that is shown above. Here's a picture of what the chassis looks like.
Another GT40 that I have built this. It was run at Sebring in 1966; drivers were Dick Holquist and Bruce Jennings. Results was 13th overall in the competition.
