Nomad has a womp stock class everything stock except u can glue the motor & bushings, bend the chassis, may add weight between the guide and front of the motor and may reenforce the body mounting holes. No cut down bodtes, legal bodies--all Legends, VWs, the Parma old Ford sedan, any others with race director approval. Tires, front stock womp or Legends, rear ditto, fronts may be painted to reduce grip. Legal chassis, all Champion and Parma Steel inline. 1/8" side slop allowed in the front axle. Max width 3 1/8". OTHERWISE STOCK cars as they come from the factory. These run 4.2 laps at Nomad. (We started this class so a newbe could have a reliable, competitive car a few minutes after removing it from the package..) If someone shows up with an older stock womp with a different body or old Johnson 16d we let them face a few times with whatever they have.
Mod Womps: Any 16D ceramic motor is OK. Weights: lead, no restrictions, Gears: any. 1/8 solid steel axles. may solder or glue motor and bushings (or bearings). any guide, lead wire, spacers, or other hardware is OK. Chassis: Any Parma, Champion or Riggen inline womp type. mods may add front bumper and or back brace (like yours) and pin tubes optional. 1/4 side slop allowed tn the front axle, overall width 3 1/8 at the axle (chassis may be set up with offset spacing if prefered) Tires: front as above, rear any. Same bodies as above but they may be slammed and cut for guide and tire clearence as long as the shape of the fenders is stock when the car is viewed from above. These run 3.9-4.0 at Nomad.
We don't have a clearance rule but if you show up with less than .055 it will not handle the downhill transition on the NOMAD Q track...
Rubbin (womps) is racin..)
Interested?

"In practice, socialism didn't work. But socialism could never have worked because it is based on false premises about human psychology and society, and gross ignorance of human economy."
