Yeah, trinkets that are .010" on the right side, and .003" on the left.

I've got bodies here from Red Fox, JK, Pama, O/S, and Kelly and none of them are the same on both sides. What's your point, besides to keep bashing someone who can't defend themselves here on the blog?

I don't see you or any other raceway owner turning down his race prizes when you hold big races such as the Sano.

I've supported IRRA™ races like the R4 and Sano by going to both the last six years in a row and I'm pretty sure O/S has handed out more race prizes than anyone I can remember.

The more and more I read all of this, the more I am leaning towards heading to my local R/C track.

If I wanted to fight or witness dissension, I would go visit family.

Ralph,

I'm sorry I upset you.

I probably would have resisted Butch's opening, but I've heard about all the insults Ron is tossing out at races and on his closed FB page about the IRRA™ BoD.

If I thought there was .001% chance Ron was unfairly removed from the IRRA™ BoD, his subsequent actions since the dismissal wouldn't bother me.

If back in, say 1998, when I was GM at Koford Engineering, Stu Koford had fired me for not telling him the truth and actions that undermined his business and credibility, and I opened Koford Engineers the same day, selling 99% of the same product, using his same SKU#'s, do you think he just might have gotten a little upset?

Yours truly,

Fab Five member #?, Slot Car Has-Been or Wanna-Be

(Ralph, you'll have ask Ron what # I am, and whether I'm a has-been or wanna-be.)

All I can say is everyone has a free will to do as they like. Being a staunch IRRA™ supporter I wish to thank the Ohio Board for supporting the rule set that has blossomed Retro racing. Thanks, guys.

Regards,

Don't worry, I'm not upset about this.

You are admitting you bashed his bodies because "you hear" he says bad things about you? LOL.

It sounds like you have questions and issues you need to work out with Ron. I suggest you take those up with him direct and not include me.

Thanks.

If someone wants to start a new Retro racing association/format by all means do it. Hell, I did.

But you don't use someone else's name and rules and claim them as your own. I made up my own rules completely different than any other Retro organization. Wonder how Ron would have felt if I had named it the IRRA LLC and claimed I owned the name?

Mike,

Tthanks for making a difficult decision that supports Retro racing as it has been. You know I will be there whenever I can to line up and race Retro.

Althought it may be difficult I hope that all who lead this enjoyable hobby will work together to keep it heathy!!!

I don't really understand much of what is going on with Ron. What I don't understand is if everyone is taking shots at Ron here on Slotblog, why don't you say something when you're at a race side by side with him. I've seen race reports and some of you race with him and you should voice your opinion to his face.

Blair,

Ron knows how many of us feel about his actions.

His response, as reported to me the person who heard it firsthand, is: "I gotta do what I gotta do."

And I think the ORS announcement is being overshadowed by this further rehashing of the IRRA-LLC/IRRA™ debate.

Why exactly was he kicked of the BoD in the first place? If these did not happen would we still be having this debate.

It's not a debate, my friend.

I'm just saying I think the ORS announcement deserves to stand on it's own and the "discussion" (or however you want to put it) should be in a thread of it's own. But you're the boss. Greg.

Seems most posts were just of a supportive nature until some of the "players" chimed in.

Without having any personal involvement or agenda relative to what is happening, I have a strong opinion about the situation, having seen very nearly the same thing happen in HO racing 20 years ago.  But I am not going to get involved in a public discussion about it. Feel free to PM me if you want.

John,

You're probably right the "discussion" should be split into a new thread. Let me think on how best to do that.

Might as well let everyone vent their veiwpoints and get it out of their systems... as long as they can stay somewhat civil.

I've known Mike for, what is it, three gazillion years, give or take a millennium, and I've nothing but the utmost respect for the big lug. If he was prone to doing stupid things, he wouldn't still be around all these decades.

He made a decision. He's going to stick to it.

Sorry, but I read the Facebook stuff and my perception is Ron has been very politically correct in his posts.

Rob,

You must be right.

Ron has added me to the secret group, Slot Chat, twice in two hours.

Just the same, I guess the vile photoshopped pic of me(?) or one of the other tm BOD, that Ron allowed on the  IRRA LLC FB page,

that guys begged him to remove, because they found it so disgusting,  was just a figment of their imagination.
