Downers Grove has a real popular Friday, Cruise Night, in the late Spring and Summer.

A favorite of "Sano" Dave Fiedler, it features a lot of interesting cars.

I did my mail run a bit early today, so I had time to check out a few cars.

I was in a hurry, but the below hot rod inspired me to pull out my phone and take a quick pic.

IMO, a nice mix.

Not a rat rod, but certainly not overdone, either.

Certainly not a rat rod, thats a great example of a "traditional hot rod" Way cool!

There's lots of great stuff.

I had a big tub of stuff to mail, so I didn't have a ton of time, or my good camera .

Next week, I'll have to take my camera and get there earlier.

Yeah, it had "409" something or other, on the back plate.

Very easy to spot those motors, with those "scalloped" valve covers.

Yup ... and IMO that is what 'makes' that rod worth a second look. With a SBC it's just another ....

Chevy's were the featured car tonight, but when I did my post office run, the weather looked awful,

and not too many cars were out.

The Red 63 Chevy was about as loud of a car as I've heard there.

He must sweat the ride over. LOL.
