I just have the red ones Paul, at least in 16D...

The 16D will also take a 65X arm, and I believe that Rick (DC65-X) has already posted his version on here - seems like it gets very hot!

I have a few miscellaneous ones like that, what I would call "funky cans", which will be in a future post at some point...

Yes, SimCo had updated versions of their endbells but it remains that the plastic is prone to melting when the brushes get hot, so they are not really that great. If the armature windings are mild, no problem. If wild, bring a fire truck to your raceway.

Approx how many RPMs is the Ram Boochie kit in a 36D Champion can with ball bearings developing?  recommended gear ratio for a G8 King 155 ft?

Free-revving (not recommended) I bet it would turn about 35-40 grand. This is balanced with ARCO's. I would gear right at 3:1 or 16-48. A well-built car with a Ram-boochie and ARCO's will JAM!

Thanks for the prompt reply/info. I'll be putting it into a 1/24 scratchbuilt 1/16 brass tubing chassis, and a Bat Ray florescent orange body

Floyd, I have one of these RAM boochi 36 D kits too. I don't recall the arm diameter, but the kit included a new oilite bushing for the can. That tells me your  Champion 36D BB's may have to be changed out. I recall once getting a 1/8" bore pinion from a friend. I do not have other motors that might have 1/8" dia. arm shafts. Have fun building your RAM boochi. :)

Here's a link to a thread I did on building a Classic Manta Ray with a RamBoochie motor. It was built to run on a Blue King. I was told by its new owner that it runs great:

Both RAM arms for the FT36 and FT16 motors have the same shaft, measuring 0.091" to 0.093" depending on how much global warming in the room on any given day.
The shafts' ends are very sharp so before you set a pinion over, make sure of chamfering the end with a Dremel disk.

The complete Maverick kit is probably shown in Rick's thread, but to complete this one, here's a shot of the elusive Maverick...

I have Champion collet pinions to fit those dis shafts. Now I'm wondering why I got a 1/8" bore pinion from Ed Blake. I don't have any other motors that might have 1/8" shafts, but I recall getting it for a specific purpose. I'll dig out that Rambuchi kit & remeasure it too. :laugh2:

Maybe for one of the Globe motors Bill? Did you ever run those back in the day?

Otherwise, 1/8" would strictly be for most of the big padlock motors, not to mention to weird one from Athearn...

Don, you hit the nail on the head! Years ago, I got a new round Globe in a lot with this RAMbuchi kit & a Wilson. Ed Blake, who gave me the 1/8" pinion, had a couple Globe 801s(?)  (the flat black cans) that he ran. Thanks for the memory recall, I had forgotten I had it, but I usually didn't buy lots.
