It's not really the most elegant mounting system in the world!
I think whatever you can jury-rig for this thing would be fine - but given the layout of the chassis, it probably has to be inline.
For the DC65, maybe some L-shaped brackets soldered or screwed to the plate, with holes for the 4 long screws in the motor...

Sorry, I should have posted this long ago. This stuff is so familiar to me that I forget some guys didn't grow up dreaming about Pittmans!
The Kemtron motors have a different brush setup and I think they are a bit smaller than the big Pittman and Ram motors, but the same general size and layout - what are called laminated pole motors because the magnetic poles are made of multiple laminations. The difference on the later DC84 and DC857 is that these laminations are quite a bit thinner - kind of like the improvement in can arm lams!

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Here's my beautiful chassis.... Gotta decide on a motor! Thank you Paul
Very nice chassis. I got one of these myself a while ago on eBay (rolling chassis) and put this together.
The motor is a Pactra "Hemi X-98" which I managed to squeeze in.
Still a work in progress, needs a body. Any suggestion?
