Jersey John sponsored the F1 class so we took the pics with him giving out the plaques. Blondie ran my Tony P Wallenda F1. She just needs some more time on a King track. Then watch out.

It should be noted that the details for Ed Sohl's 3rd Place Stock Car were in error (bad cut and paste job) and should read.

Really cool report. This was my first Retro race - one of the cars (the GTC-FK) was brand new / never raced. I did the entire build / paint /setup myself only a short time before RetroPalooza. Unfortunately it took a hard hit so it wasn't able to finish (guide tongue was bent BAD). I'm officially hooked on Retro now: building my own F1 chassis completely from scratch. Hope to have it ready to race very soon. After that a JDSC and then a Can-AM chassis. I should be in good shape by Fall.

Joe - What do I need to do to lose the "newbie" nickname? How 'bout if I make someone sleep with the fishes (win a race)? LOL

Just wanted to let everyone who put in for the raffle to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project know that the $610 collected has been sent to them along with a copy of the race report. If by chance I hear anything from them I will post it here. Thanks to all who bought tickets and especially to Preston, Noose, HVR, and Mike Katz for their donations of time and material to make it happen. While not everyone will agree with our military missions around the world, I think everyone agrees we can never do enough for those who volunteer to put themselves in harm's way.

Thanks John and everyone who donated time and materials,Preston,Noose,HVR,Mike Katz and everyone who bought tickets,the car kicks butt.I especially appreciate this because my son has served in Afghanistan 3 times and anything anyone does for our children serving is tops in my book!

I had actually built one similar to that last year, ended up selling it to Chris Gambler down at Fast Tracks. So you may see it once "real car" season ends for Chris (maybe he'll show up for the Retro East race??)

I'm pretty sure he is going to race in the Retro,the last time I spoke with him he said he was going to race.We should have a blast.It will be like SCR ,You,Blondie,Blair, and I all racing together again.
