Is this destined for eBay, or has someone spoken for it already? My daughter thinks the car is cool, and likes the orange tires(like father, like daughter )...

The car is for sale. If it does not sell here, it will go on to Ebay. I would prefer to sell it here to a friend for a better price, but if she goes to Ebay, it's game on. I made a mistake on track test date, it will be 6 July, not 3 August. Just want to ensure she runs decent, not trying to make a race car out of her. That is why I did not overpower the car - look at the flimsy chassis, it is what it is, and to overpower it and wall shot it would be stupid. The motor is used, and stone stock.
As far as pricing, I already had one offer of $75 which I turned down, as the parts alone cost me a lot more than that.
The body is a genuine antique. The chassis still sells to this day at Mid-America for $15 plus shipping.
If you send me a PM, I will give you a Slotblog price quote. Contingent upon her saisfactory track test 6 July.
Hokay ? Thanks for asking. You made my day

Thanks guys. Track test complete, she runs very nice. Decent speed and brakes, gearing is good, handles fine, no deslots in about 20 laps, no bad habits. My job here is done This will make a nice runnable car for someone who appreciates the old stuff.
She goes on Ebay soon......

Here is your chance to get this car for a great price.
Bidding starts at $150, which gives me a small profit of $43 for my time, talent, and tools.

Maybe highlight the fact that it is a Champion of Chamblee chassis.

Will that make it more valuable?
More searchable.... too!
How many times did you search Japanese chassis... ?
Posted 11 August 2013 - 04:24 AM
Bob, I agree 100%!
Posted 11 August 2013 - 07:44 AM
If I had advertised it as a "Champion", the Vintage Police would have pointed out it was Japanese.
That would be deceptive.
The bottom line is, the interest in this car is about zero.
Now all I'm left with is guys wanting me to break Ebay's rules, and I will not do that.
The auction will go on and somebody may get it for far less than the value of the parts alone.
