There is a arm that sticks up... hard to see in pic. You move the arm down from the top to the bottom and then the display will show you the degrees on the display.

This is a really a cool timing tool.

Cost... still working on that.

So what is the advantage over a simple degree wheel which fits over the armature shaft?

Looks like it's built by the same individual that did the gauss meters last year.

It does't, because it is reading the comm slot at any diameter.

I got one of their gauss meters and really like it.

Depending on price, I might be a player for this one too.

I've got a PRI timing gauge, but in another thread here on Slotblog, it was revealed that they are not totally accurate. I didn't know that when I bought it about 8 - 10 years ago.

Really neat products! So much tech in such a small package, both this timing tool and the gauss meter look amazing. May have to invest in both at some point.

It would be nice to know the price instead of clicking on the first post and it takes you to e-bay

Hmmm.  Might have to be a "must have" tech tool for national level races no matter who sanctions them.

I just bought a couple of things from "Go Fast" for the first time on the recommendation of a Blogger.  Good stuff and good service, makes this thing even more appealing.  Depending on the price of admission, I'm thinking of going for one.  Seems I'm doing so many arms lately that it would be a good investment.  BTW, one of the things I got was their com and tail-spacer cutter.  It's one of those made from a carbide end mill with a shaft hole, and it's excellent!  the shaft hole is a very nice fit and the cutter is sharp as all get out, you need to be careful with the tool.  No more screwing around with those diamond grit things.  I make the cut with this tool and then do a final lapping/polishing with the diamond grit tool.  VERY fast and precise, and I only use it by hand.
