Don't know if this has been posted before but seeing as I have raced on this very track a few times I thought you might like to see it.
Not the greatest picture as it was printed in the little club magazine of the Derby HO club, with the results of the LeMans 24 Hour race. But gives you an idea of the scale and quality of the track.
Awesome track to race on and learn, such a good track built by Brad that I managed to get TQ and the team that recruited my dad and I won that first year.
The track is so smooth and literally is large enough it fills the entire sports hall floor.
Not easy keeping an eye on the little car as it flys down the main straight and judge the braking distance to make it round the corner!!!
From what I can remember it is a proper scale representation of the famous LeMans circuit where they hold the 1:1 endurance event.

That's incredible, Paul. What is the lap length?
"We offer prompt service... no matter how long it takes!"
"We're not happy unless you're not happy"
"You want it when?"

Will have to do some digging for the lap length, don't think I ever found out, was just so amazing to get to race on the monster!!

Awesome track, can you image racing on something like that nowadays? Wonder what something like that would cost nowadays?

As far as I know they may still run the Lemans event each year. I think Brad brought the track with him when he travelled with Team USA to race at the event.

How do I get involved so that I can run in it?

Lap length 220'
Farthest point from driver - est 65'
My team took a solid 2nd when we went.
Cars are TOMY TURBO, supplied, spares supplied, all you can bring are tools, controllers, bodies (per their rules check every year)
Controllers are two wire no brake resistor controllers, no adjustments, no electronic controllers allowed.
Track was on floor when we competed, now its on tables.
Race is ALWAYS 2nd weekend in Nov, the last years teams have priority for entry, one must drop out for another to enter, typically around September
but please check their website to be sure.

It would be something to have a 24 hour race in the states
Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

Isn't Le Mans something in the range of eight miles a lap?
In 1/64th scale 220 feet in just 2.66 miles. Maybe everything is kilometers?

it's now on tables?
the few years our team raced it was also on the floor. Maybe the marshals got bored of sitting on the floor for hours on end!
Looking at the pictures in the link it now looks a very civilized affair marshalling

It would have to be in Yankee stadium if it was to perfect scale. Not to mention the cost of making the thing. What!? 220' isn't long enough for you!?

The actual circuit is 8.469 miles I think.
So HO 1/64 roughly 700' Over 3x the current ho circuit. How would you like to see the cars at the end of a football field length straight. The current 100 straight is tough enough. And I admit lots of fun.
The track is fun the people are fantastic. It should be on your bucket list.

I have had several track plans but the last one drawn was my favorite. It was an 8 lane 200' lap length Sebring. A car or car class could not be agreed upon so the project died. I have a space for the race but again car selection buried the plans at least for us.
