Now we are considering our monthly races in November & December will be racing SCRRA cars at 13.2 V(no power-supply but only battery power) for the preparation for the coming Checkpoint Cup because several Retro Tokyo racers are now planning to race the legendary big race at BPR in January.

Five and a half months out and preparations are on! Man, that is dedication. As they say, early bird gets the worm.

IN another thread--Bryan said the dates are the 2nd weekend in January the 10th 11th AND 12th of January!! Be ready to ROCK!!

Haruki, Matt, JJ and other concerned racers,
As always the 2014 Parma/Checkpoint Cup will again take place the second weekend of January, the 10th,11th and 12th, as Craig pointed out.
Can Am will be as usual on Saturday with F1 closing out the weekend on Sunday, with both events on the King Track. Friday will feature Retro Pro in the evening on the King and probably Retro 1/32nd and Anglewinder Coupe on the flat track earlier in the day.
BPR will open about 7-8AM each day and tech will start at 10AM. More details to follow and a proper announcement will follow soon but no changes are planned..............
Congrats Tim!! See you there!......... 2 months will go quickly and this should be the best Checkpoint yet!!
The above is what Bryan has posted recently.
I will take Kamo-san, Tebu, RACE-DIRECTOR Mickeyzo, Omi(desciple of Nobu Hanada) & Kacho(ex- Kyosho RC racer now rookie in Retro Tokyo) to the Checkpoint Cup.
Yoshi Akiyama may join us later on Friday after he finishes his work in Tokyo.
Some more Retro Tokyo racers are thinking of racing at the Cup.

”Safeguard" is more like a Gatorade, non-carbonated sport drink.
Mrukai carries some other drinks from my company.

MAN---the Retro Racing "Kick off" to 2014 is going to be AWSOME!! The Check Point will have an awsome aray of drivers from all over the world!! Should be a great way to say "hello" to the Slot World in 2014!! Looks like we'll have a large Japanese contingent from D3 Tokyo Club-- the boys from the east should be well represented from Jay, Mike, and Wes-- as well as many other "beasts from the east"! I think the NW will be represented and NorCal--- now maybe we could find some Texicans and "UROPEANS" to join us!! Should be FUN!!!

Everyone, there will be 2 King Track pre Checkpoint Cup races this month in December on the Second and Fourth Saturdays...Come out, support the Track, get all of those cars out and tuned for the upcoming Checkpoint Cup....
No Flat Track Race this month, as the usual second Saturday is now going to be a Checkpoint Cup warm up race, so we will be back on the Flat Track in February for regular races....
