Can someone tell me when Lancer stopped producing bodies? I have a Cooper F- LAN881 in the package, trying to determine how old it is.
Thanks in advance for any help you folks can provide.

Hi Gil, I think it is safe to say 1970 it was all winding down. Some one may chime in and tell us exactly when Lancer stopped making slot bodies.
But you could use 1970 as a round number to date your body although it was probably made before that.
881 was a light handerling body. I will post the list later, so it did come towards the end.

I have a Cooper F1 LAN881 in the package, trying to determine how old it is.
In the box?
Or in a bag?

Gil
The Cooper 881 was first listed in the 1969 Auto World catalog.
Lancer bodies are still listed in the 1972 AW catalog, but by 1973 the catalog had a single page of 1/24 bodies and they were all by MAC. That doesn't mean Lancer wasn't producing any more, but I think by then it was pretty much over, if not before.

Great info, I knew this was the place to go for it.
And Mike, it is in a bag, I think I remember the ones in boxes being older.

If it's a bag like this, it's an REH made body, and probably not worth much more than retail.
Any experts, feel free to correct me.
