Has anyone heard of Jim Kipp?

I have a subscription to Hot Rod magazine and in this month's issue his man cave is featured and it has a lot of interesting stuff. There is a pretty nice-looking King track in the cave. Pretty cool dude.

Stemmy,

Dunno if it is the same piece, but there's an article about Jim Kipp's man cave posted on Hot Rod's blog.

I don't know the guy but I like his taste in King tracks. That flat as a pool table donut should be a challenge.

That's it, Greg. There are a lot more pictures online than in the magazine.

Have any of you been to this or know who Jim is?

I got the latest issue of Hot Rod in the mail yesterday and they had a feature article on shops or "man caves" of hobbyists. The one of Jim Kipp's kind of stood out. I saw some wing cars in the lower corner of one photo and then a full photo of the Euro King and a drag strip in the background. He seems to have a reputation for building miniatures of engines, which I was  kind of familiar with, but not his extensive collection of interesting techno-weinie stuff that slot racers like let alone a functional King track.

Any left coast racers familiar with Mr. Kipp and his man cave please chime in. Everyone may want to pick up a copy of this month's Hot Rod. It's interesting as usual. More retro than technical these days.

I like the "glue zone" markings on the track.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

I've merged the two threads on Kipp's "man cave".
